It comes every year. It’s a day full of love, flowers, chocolates, and couples showing PDA in every restaurant and pub imaginable. It’s Valentine’s Day. It’s like your birthday; you’re excited to celebrate it, but at the same time, you’re not because you’re one year closer to your deathbed.
Valentine’s Day can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. Some people bask in the Valentine’s Day spirit as if the sole reason they were put on this Earth was to celebrate it, and some people want absolutely nothing to do with it. Some simply treat it like it’s another regular day of the year. No matter what side of the spectrum you’re on, the love doesn’t need to be limited to living beings. Valentine’s Day is a day of love. There are no specifications. So, calling all shopaholics: this is the perfect day to show love to your clothes and welcome new ones into your life and wardrobe. Retail therapy mends hearts and fuels the soul. Plus, there’s always deals around this time of year (P.S. use code: valentine for 20 percent off all MLML styles through the end of February).
I used to not believe in love at first sight until I walked into a store and fell in love with a black bomber jacket. I think I fall in love at first sight at least once in every store I walk into while on a shopping spree—it even happens while online shopping. Sometimes, it’s fate. You just know you were meant to wear that brown suede jacket or those red leather leggings. Whatever Valentine’s Day brings, showing a little love for fashion will make it much better.
